The Hanson story is equal parts love, dedication, vision, hard work, devotion, and a whole lot of music. It takes place in Tulsa, OK, and grows from the love of two very special people, Walker and Diana Hanson. They both had a deep love of music. Diana was a music major and had been in a gospel group called the Horizons and Walker loved guitar. When Isaac, Taylor, and Zac were born they inherited that love of music. By the time Isaac was in third grade he had written his first song, and he and his brothers were singing it in incredible voices. When Isaac was about seven or eight he and his brothers moved to South America. Becuase there were no radios there they bought a collection of 50's and 60's Rock-n-Roll music tapes, That music was what inspired the Hansons style. by the time they moved back to Tulsa the trio had their minds set on forming a music group,Diana and Walker supported them all the way. For years the Hansons worked hard to fullfill their dream and get as many people as possible to hear their fun filled, or sometimes deep music. They played at pizza places,cafes,parties and even school assemblies. Once they played at a place called the Blue Rose Cafe where they had to stay outside becuase there was an 18 and over age limit. They were happy, but they really wanted to be out there, they wanted people all over the world to hear their music, not just people in their hometown. So one day they decided to go to a music executive convention in Florida. All day they walked up to music execs. and sang for them, and again, and again they were rejected. But at the end of the day they walked up to Mark Hudson, after he heard their harmonious voices the first thing he said was..."I need to speak to your parents, now" he helped them find record deals. the first one they were offered wasn't a good one though so they kept looking. After being turned down by 12 record companies they finally found Mercury records. The head honcho flew down to see them preform in Tulsa, they were signed directly afterwards. But the weird the is it was one of their worst shows ever, the crowd really didn't get into it at all. Now Hanson is one of the biggest pop groups in the world today. Hanson Mania is out of control and boys and girls in all sorts of cities and countries around the world are falling for Hansons up beat tunes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
